Call for Abstracts Deadline Extended for California Section WateReuse Conference

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The California Section of the WateReuse Association invites you to attend and participate in our 2007 Annual Conference to be held March 4-6, 2007 at the Wyndham Palm Springs in Palm Springs, CA. The theme is “Drought Proofing the Golden State—Sustainability in the Era of Climate Change.”

Those interested are requested to submit an abstract for presentation at the conference. The deadline for abstract submittal has been extended to Friday, October 13, 2006. Abstracts for panel discussions and presentations should be 500 words or less and single spaced. Authors will be notified by October 27 if their abstract has been selected and will be required to submit a paper by December 8, 2006. This is a prerequisite for a place at the podium.

The conference will focus on diverse topics of interest to California’s water recycling community including innovative reuse applications, public outreach, institutional issues, operation and maintenance issues, environmental benefits, case studies, health and safety, and much more.

The primary objective of the California Section of the WateReuse Association is to promote water recycling as a source of water, work for the adoption of legislation and regulations that allow the safe use of recycled water, facilitate the development of technology to advance water recycling, promote legislation that will increase funding of water recycling projects, and increase public education and awareness of water recycling and related problems and solutions.
