A Protocol for Estimating Potential Water Quality Impacts of Recycled Water projects

The overall goal of the study was to facilitate the development and implementation of beneficial reuse projects using recycled water that meets the California Department of Public Health (DPH) tertiary treatment standards for unrestricted reuse. To achieve this goal, the study developed a Framework consisting of a process, with associated analytical tools, to assess the environmental impacts of water reuse projects. The Principal Investigator was David W. Smith, Ph.D. of Merritt Smith Consulting.
