Don’t miss the 2015 Industrial and Commercial Water Reuse Conference!

Water recycling is emerging as a key strategy in competitiveness, corporate social responsibility, and compliance. Why aren’t all industries using water reuse as a best practice? What will the future of industrial water reuse look like? The technology, chemistry and processes exist today to bring water recycling to companies to help meet environmental compliance challenges and to reach supply chain reliability goals. It is both a bottom line and a “green” solution.

Plenary Sessions

Monday Opening Plenary Session:
AccelerateH2O: Advancing World-Class Technologies, Expertise, and Networks

The Texas Water Technology Accelerator was formed to address Texas’ current drought and growth challenges, while sparking a $9 billion marketplace for world-class solutions, knowledge-sharing, and collaborations. Reuse is one of AccelerateH2O’s four pillars – and is the most prominent of opportunities in energy, agriculture, industrial, and utility-management sectors. Texas employs 300,000 individuals directly in water, and over 600,000 indirectly – making it one of the largest economic clusters in the US.

The session will be an interactive panel to discuss current and emerging scenarios for the identification, demonstration, investment and deployment of technologies. Panelist and attendees will discuss tactics and strategies for accelerating technology through the maze of regulatory, engineering, and economic barriers, limitations.

Richard S. Seline, Executive Director, AccelerateH2O

Russ Conser, former SVP, Shell USA
Fred Tyler, VP of Operations, BaseWaterLLC and EagleFord Demonstration Project Manager
Corporate-Industrial VP for Sustainability and Water Management

Tuesday Plenary Session:
Realities of Water Reuse from the Boardroom, Boiler Room and Business

The plenary session will include industrial leaders in a panel discussion of the decisions, determinations and perspectives industry needs to consider from the upper management level (Boardroom) to the on-site operations level of water reuse treatment systems (Boiler Room).  The business level decisions will examine tools and actual industries that have implemented full-scale water reuse treatment plants to equivalent of drinking water quality reuse water. Audience questions and answers will be incorporated in to the session.

Al Goodman, CDM Smith

Alan Prouty, J. R. Simplot
Emilio Tenuta, Nalco/Ecolab
Larry Perry, PepsiCo/Frito-Lay

Tuesday Closing Plenary Panel Discussion:
What Government Can do to Accelerate Industrial Reuse

The technology exists to treat most types of industrial wastewater so that it can be reused for productive purposes, but all too often economic and regulatory hurdles prevent the technology from being deployed.  This session will explore current and potential future ways that government can support greater industrial reuse, including regulatory frameworks, financial incentives, and sources of funding.  Senior leaders from the federal government and the financial services community will share their insights on how industry can capitalize on current regulatory and funding opportunities, as well as make its voice heard in support of additional incentives.
