WateReuse Foundation Project Team Members

Resource Trends, Inc.

Resource Trends, Inc. is the lead firm on the WateReuse Foundation Project covering public perceptions of indirect potable reuse. Resource Trends is a strategic marketing firm that helps utilities better communicate the value of investment in water infrastructure, and improve public trust. Kristin Darr and Associates (KDA)

KDA is a public outreach and communications firm that works in multiple industries including water and transportation. Dr. Jorg Drewes

Dr. Drewes is a professor of engineering and environmental science at the Colorado Schools of Mines in Golden, Colorado. Dr. Drewes was instrumental in addressing issues related to water quality science and communications, including addressing the fact that there are multiple methods for creating safe drinking water and water quality confidence.  For more information contact Jorg Drewes.

RESOLVE

RESOLVE, a non-profit organization, is one of the premier, public policy dispute resolution organizations in the United States and internationally. RESOLVE has expertise in the full range of "alternative dispute resolution" and consensus-building processes. Dr. Juliana Birkhoff of RESOLVE was instrumental in developing the conflict management tools and the tools related to leading a fair and meaningful public dialogue. Orange County Water District (OCWD)

OCWD has implemented a very successful multi-year outreach program which has resulted in widespread support for its Groundwater Replenishment System (GWRS). West Basin Municipal Water District

West Basin has become an industry leader in recycled water by applying advanced technology to produce multiple grades of water that are designed specifically for the intended use. These uses include landscape irrigation and several high-tech industrial applications. One of these water products is injected into the ground to act as a barrier against seawater intrusion, protecting water quality and replenishing the basin.
